Unenforceable Agreements

When we consider unenforceable agreements we also think of the ways and means of recovering our circumstances. Total British individual liability at the end of December 2008 was £1,457bn. This figure has dropped to 3.6 per cent in the last 12 months which translates to an increase of about fifty billion pounds. Borrowing in the last month of last year expanded by £2.2 billion; lending secured on property grew by nearly two billion pounds in that same month; unsecured consumer lending increased by £0.3 billion in that month as well. Average household debt in Britain is thought to be around sixty thousand pounds (includes secured loans). The average amount of money owed by every UK adult is around £30,400 (including secured loans). The average payable secured loan for the 12m families who have mortgages currently is around £104,223.

Here are more somewhat thought provoking statistics: £252 million is payable just in interest in Britain every day. There are 124 properties repossessed by the banks daily. nearly 1,500 people are thrown out of work daily, meanwhile one person is declared insolvent or bankrupt every 5 minutes.

But it certainly hasn't only just been everyday people who have clearly had to bear the brunt of this recession. Company failure have risen vastly in recent years and the trend has been particularly sustained and prevalent in the recent years culminating in the recession. In the last quarter of 2008 three thousand limited companies went into creditors voluntary liquidation , a sixty two percent rise on the same quarter in 2007. United Kingdom companies are set to face a very challenging environment indeed. When considered in the context of unenforceable agreements this really poses a challenging trial to all of us.
